Make Plans Now for Summer
Summer planning is just around the corner and we want to give our residents an early reminder that we will be offering private and group swim lessons this summer. We will be sending out information in the Summer in the Parks 2012 brochure, which is scheduled to arrive in your mailbox in March. We are excited to continue to offer summer swim lessons and we hope to see the "veterans", and are also excited to meet the "new comers"! Residents Sought for Birdsong Park Renovations Committee
As part of its continuing maintenance and reserve program, the Association puts aside funding each year for the future replacement of our amenities. Included among those amenities are our various playground facilities. Over the years, many of the playgrounds have been updated with new equipment and fresh designs. Next on the schedule is Birdsong Park. The Recreation Committee is seeking residents that frequent Birdsong Park who would be interested in volunteering on a Committee of homeowners to work with staff, the Committee, and play equipment vendors in 2012 on a new park design. Some of the duties would include identifying desired play equipment, reviewing multiple design options and attending meetings. Concert on the Lake - Summer 2012 Concert Series

Applications Available for Summer Positions
The Woodbridge Village Association is now accepting applications for summer positions. The Recreation Department has openings for lifeguards, swim instructors, and camp counselors. If you are interested in any of these positions, please complete and return an application.
Applications are now available at the Association's Front Desk for the above positions. There are a limited number of positions available this year, so please apply early. For more information, please contact the Association Office at (949) 786-1800.
Families Forward Food Drive Continues
Families Forward is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help families in need achieve and maintain self-sufficiency through housing, counseling and other support services. Families Forward serves almost 400 individuals each month with groceries. All the food that is distributed to these families is donated by individuals and groups in the community. Families Forward is in need of the following items:
Canned Fruit - preferably low sugar
Peanut Butter, Jam/Honey
Spaghetti Sauce
Canned Tomato Products
Chili & Stew
Hearty Canned Soups and Chowders
Pasta, Pasta Mixes, Mac N Cheese
Plain Rice & Rice Mixes
Beans (Baked, Refried, Black, Kidney)
Dried Potatoes and Dried Milk
Baby Food and Baby Formula
If you are interested in making a food donation, please drop off your donations at the Woodbridge Village Association, located at 31 Creek Road in Irvine. Thank you for helping others in need!
