November 2005 Committee Meeting
At the November meeting, the Architectural Committee reviewed five room addition and remodel preliminary proposals. Two proposals were approved as submitted; the other three required several changes before they would be approved.
The Committee also discussed two appeals, both of which were denied by the Committee.
September
2005 Committee Meeting
At the September meeting, the Architectural Committee reviewed
two additions and remodel proposals. Both proposals were accepted,
but the Committee did require minor revisions for the projects to
be addressed on the final plans.
August
2005 Committee Meeting
At the August meeting, the Architectural Committee reviewed
three addition and remodel proposals. All three (3) proposals were
accepted, but the Committee did require minor revisions for 2 of
the projects to be addressed on the final plans.
The Committee also met with a consultant and Board members of the
Village Green Association to review a proposal for replacement dimensional
composition shingle to be used on the mansard portion of the roofing.
The staff informed the Committee that the Board of Directors had
adopted the proposed new wood fencing color rule for Landing II
after overwhelming support for the revision had been expressed by
Landing II residents.
July
2005 Committee Meeting
At the July meeting, the Architectural Committee reviewed
what is believed to be a record six (6) plans for additions. After
thorough review and consultation with the applicants, revisions
were requested for five (5) of the proposals. The other project
was approved as submitted.
The Committee
also considered proposals for a yellow exterior color scheme and
a front yard bench. Finally, the Committee reviewed a proposal from
Seaport Association for a replacement roofing materials standard
for their development. The Committee determined the proposed standard
to be acceptable and has forwarded a recommendation to the Board
of Directors to publish the proposed language and specifications
for member review and comment.

June
2005 Committee Meeting
At
the June meeting, the Architectural Committee reviewed two (2) plans
for additions. Revisions were requested for both proposals. The
Committee also considered proposals for retractable awnings and
a proposal for a white garage door and white vinyl windows.
May
2005 Committee Meeting
At the May meeting, the Architectural Committee reviewed two (2)
plans for additions. One of these proposals was approved as submitted,
and revisions were requested on the second proposal.
The Committee
considered a petition submitted by Landing II residents to add a
white color to the approved wood fencing colors for their tract,
as well as delete a color. The Committee reviewed the survey, which
was completed by forty (40) Landing II residents, and agreed to
make a recommendation to the Board of Directors to establish a specific
wood fence color standard for Landing II which would require Old
Quaker #76, 90 or 105, or Dunn Edwards SP 114-1 Whisper White. This
issue was due to be reviewed by the Board of Directors at the June
meeting.
The Committee
also reviewed a proposal for a fence extension and canopy, plans
for metal roofing and for a new wood gate.
March
2005 Committee Meeting
At the March
meeting, the Architectural Committee reviewed two (2) proposals
for additions. The Committee requested revisions on both sets of
plans.
The Committee
considered a petition submitted by Landings II residents to add
another white color to the approved wood fencing colors for their
tract. Residents who attended this meeting to address the Committee
agreed to propose a specific color standard for their tract for
future Committee consideration and a possible recommendation to
the Board of Directors.
Finally, the
Committee reviewed a proposal for installed vinyl windows and met
with residents to discuss exterior color schemes in the community.
February
2005 Committee Meeting
The Architectural Committee met late into the night in February
reviewing three (3) proposals for additions/remodels. Revisions
ranging from minor to significant were requested for all of these
proposals.
Several homeowners
attended the meeting to address the Committee regarding the following
issues: exterior color schemes in Woodbridge, a proposal to remove
exposed rafters and vinyl windows.
The staff updated
the Committee regarding the upcoming Spring Faire, which is scheduled
for Saturday, April 9 on Barranca Parkway between Creek and Lake
Roads. Multiple events are planned including a Home Improvement
Show, Art Show, Swap Meet, pony rides, rock wall and bungee jump,
bounce house, live entertainment, a DJ, public service vendors,
vintage cars and many other attractions.
The Architectural
Committee wishes to remind homeowners who may be contemplating submitting
plans for review at the April 2005 meeting that the meeting for
April has been rescheduled for Monday, April 18, 2005. Therefore,
if you wish to have plans reviewed at that meeting, they must be
submitted to the Association no later than Monday, April 11.
January
2005 Committee Meeting
At the first meeting of the new year, the Architectural Committee
reviewed one (1) proposal for an addition/remodel. The Committee
requested several revisions on the plans to be submitted for review.
The Committee also reviewed a proposal by The Irvine Company for
new monument signs at Alton Square Shopping Center and a proposal
by staff for building signage for the Association’s Community
Center at 31 Creek Road.
The Committee also wishes to remind homeowners who may be contemplating
