November 2006
At the November meeting, the Architectural Committee met with four residents to consider their applications for improvements to their residence.
The first homeowner had installed a fence with horizontal slats painted to match the exterior of the home rather than an approved color for fences facing the street and the shingles did not meet WVA standards that call for vertical slats.
The second homeowner installed a gazebo spa that is completely enclosed with a red, possibly metal, roof that does not match the home’s roof or siding. It is a freestanding room that is out of compliance with Standards 3-228(c), (d) and possibly 3-200(i).
The Committee approved the already-installed windows for the third homeowner because the windows met WVA standards and did not constitute a privacy problem.
The fourth homeowner was approved to keep her ‘etched’ window and sliding door since the etching was subtle.
