Please bring your donations of non-perishable food to the marked barrels at the Woodbridge Community Center, located at 31 Creek Road.

Waterless Urinals Approved
The Board of Directors recently approved the installation of waterless urinals throughout the village. The Association has installed a total of 42 new Falcon Waterless Urinals at all the association restroom facilities.
Under normal conditions, each urinal will save approximately 40,000 gallons of water each year. These urinals require special maintenance by our maintenance department.
It is very important to note that water should never be poured into these units because it dilutes the fluids used to make them work correctly.
The Association participated in a rebate program through the Municipal Water District. In doing so, the vast majority of the cost of the urinals and the installation was paid for by the MWD and was of minimal expense to the WVA.

Salt Chlorination Systems at Woodbridge Facilities
In 2007, the Association installed a commercial salt chlorination system at the Woodflower pool facility. The Association has received numerous comments from residents in support of the salt chlorination system, noting the clear water and reduced skin irritation.
The salt chlorination system generates chlorine from salt dissolved in the pool water. The salted water is pumped through a filtration system that converts the salt into natural chlorine which destroys bacteria, viruses and algae. The salt chlorination system eliminates the use of liquid chlorine, lowers operating costs and reducing eye and skin irritation from chemicals.
Due to the overwhelming support from residents and reduced operating costs, the Board of Directors has approved the installation of another salt chlorination system at the Stonecreek Swim Club.

No Parking in Effect
at Facilities

Effective March 1, 2008 "No Parking Signs" were posted at the Woodbridge Village Association Community Center; South Lake Beach Club and the South Lake Tennis Club.      A violation notice will be given for the first thirty (30) days informing individuals that no overnight parking will be allowed. After this grace period vehicles will be towed from the property at the owner's expense.
A telephone number will be provided on the "No Parking Signs" to contact the Irvine Police Department to inquire which towing service to contact to retrieve their vehicle.
    Thank you for your cooperation.

Emergency Phone

New Emergency Phones
at Pool Facilities

During the year the association was contacted and informed by the telephone company that we would soon be required to pay a monthly fee for our pay phones.
Pay phones were previously money makers for the association and the phone company before cell phones.
Today, almost everybody carries a cell phone, therefore, pay phones are becoming obsolete. The Association is required by the health department to have a telephone at all water orientated parks with pools for EMERGENCY use.

Therefore, we are beginning to install emergency phones - THAT DIAL ONLY 911 - at the pool facilities. Today we have installed the first emergency phone at Smokestone Park, Stone Creek Swim Club. Please remember these phones are for emergency use and ONLY DIAL 911!
